A Ministry of Comfort and of Hope
The people of Bethel desire to bring comfort to others in the midst of their struggles. When the world seems cold and uncaring the warmth of a prayer shawl can bring comfort and hope. God comes in the prayers of those who knit or crochet these beautiful shawls of strength. God comes in the hands of those who carefully craft, out of love and devotion, a visible sign of love.
Since 2007 the hands pictured below have touched the lives of over 100 people from Florida to Alaska, . . . from the United States to Russia.

The women begin the creation of each shawl by praying for the one who will receive it. Throughout their knitting or crocheting of the prayer shawl prayer after prayer is lifting up to Christ for comfort, healing, joy, hope and God's presence to be felt when the shawl surrounds the one to whom it will cover.
The group meets together one Saturday morning a month to pray as a group, talk, laugh and enjoy fellowship.

Any one who would like to be a part of this powerful ministry of love is welcome to contact the church office and your name will be forwarded to Sue Davison who leads the ministry.
