Service Project for Children’s Hospital Colorado

On May 16th, Bethel Youth will be volunteering at Children’s Hospital Colorado to provide some fun activities for children who are patients and their families. Children’s Hospital is also in need of what are called “distraction kits” for patients. These are little items that will ease anxiety as the children receive IVs, blood draws and other test procedures. On May 20th, we will be assembling these kits during the education hour in the fellowship hall. The pryer shawl ladies are making the bags, but we need your help to fill them! Please see the list below and see what you can contribute. Please note that all items MUST BE NEW! Please leave items in original packaging and NO STUFFED ANIMALS! Many of these children have suppressed immune systems so no used items please! Thank you so much for being good stewards!

For Infants and Toddlers: Rattles, teethers, “tag” blankets, “Little People”, board books (lift the flap books).

For School-age: Stress balls, books, word searches, pin wheels, small art kits, sports trading cards, hand-held games, fun pens, action figures.

For Teens: Hand-held games, 3-D puzzles, word puzzle books, books, pens.

General: Colored pencils, play dough, bead kits.
