From Our Missionary Dear Bethel, I have just finished month 10 on the World Race. This was probably my most challenging month. I was in Chiang Mai, Thailand working in the red-light district. I was on a new team — all women — and we would go into bars making friends with the girls who work there. Girls who sell themselves to men. Girls who are prostitutes. I never thought I would be going into bars, talking to strangers, or...

From Our Missionary Dear Bethel, I just finished month 8 of The World Race. This month my team was outside of Mbabane, Swaziland in the mountains. It was an absolutely beautiful place. We experienced sun, rain, thunderstorms, fog and electrical storms. Ministry this month was great as well. We stayed at El  Shaddai Children’s home which began in 2000 by a couple from South Africa who had hearts for the orphans of Swaziland. There are currently 55 kids ages 3...

From Our Missionary Dear Bethel, This month I have been in Cape Town, South Africa! It was absolutely amazing. We spent the month working with the youth in the impoverished area. We played soccer during the afternoons, helping to give the kids something productive to do. In the mornings we would spend time on the beach, praying, playing soccer, and talking to different people. On a couple of days we were able to take the township kids to the beach...

From Our Missionary Dear Bethel, I have spent Month 5 of the World Race in Oradea, Romania. We worked with an organization called Caminul Felix which creates homes for orphans. House parents take in around 15 kids and they become a family. They go through ups and downs and live life as a family. The kids are shown love and are cherished throughout life. There are 2 villages, with 8 houses. Think about how many kids that is! When there...

From Our Missionary Dear Bethel. I have just finished month 4 on The World Race on Korce (Core-cha), Albania. This month we had the opportunity to work with Campus Crusade for Christ on a University of about 6,000 student. We began by standing on campus asking for the “Vitit Pare” (Freshman) and passed out magazines. We then went on many coffee dates with our contacts to meet with the students. I have had more cappuccinos than I can count this month....
