“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Ministry happens in many different ways. In all the ways it takes place at Bethel it is pointing to Jesus.
Bethel has been growing in the ministry of Prayer over a number of years.
We know that God is continually calling us to pray for one another and we at Bethel take this very seriously. Through our Prayer Team, Prayer Chain, and the E-mail Prayer Chain we choose to lift up others in need. We also provide opportunities for everyone through prayer breakfasts, prayer vigils and the prayers of the church.
Compassionate Visitors: We have trained members of our congregation who visit those who are sick, shut-in or in need, on a regular basis. This brings some continued connection and friendship with those unable to worship with us regularly.
Phone Ministry: There are some who are unable to get out to visit in person, however, they are committed to phoning those who are unable to get out regularly, and keeping them connected to their family at Bethel.
Office Helps: Whether it is folding the bulletin and newsletter, making phone calls, working on our web-site, compiling information, help with mailings, all is necessary when it comes to the workings of the church and all helps are welcomed.

What Is Ministry?
Ministry is the act of serving. Anyone can serve Christ whether they are “ordained” (a pastor) or a lay person (someone who is not ordained). Anyone can serve Christ no matter what their age, sex or race. Anyone can serve Christ and that means you!
We live out our service to Christ in many different ministries.
- Visiting the sick
- Serving in worship
- Helping others
- Keeping God’s house clean
