Back On the Mission Field
Hello again Bethel! I guess the reason that I am updating this blog again is because… you guessed it… I have been called back to the mission field. I have the opportunity to lead a 4 month Passport Trip through Adventures in Missions. I will be gone from January 11, 2013 until May 8, 2013.
I will be going to the countries of El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama. I am excited to spend some more time in Central America and use my Spanish and to love on and serve the people down there. I have a co-leader Alaina who has been on a previous Passport trip. We will have a team of 5 women and 2 men who are all in the college age group. They are all really excited to be on this trip and I am excited to see and to be a part of their growth during this next season of their life.
On January 11, 2013, I am heading out to Atlanta, GA where I will be for about week. During this time I will meet my co-leader and go through leader training (such as finances, logistics) and then the rest of the team will come on January 15, 2013 and I will get to meet them. We fly to El Salvador on January 19, 2013.
To be honest, leading this trip was never in my plan. I was ready to work and go to school, but for some reason none of that was working out. And it wasn’t making sense to me, but now I can see that God has had a different plan for me.
I do have to raise a little bit of money for this. Only $1500 which isn’t bad in comparison to the World Race. If you would like to donate, you can make a check to church for me or talk to my mom. Thank you for your continued prayers and support of God’s calling in my life. I definitely know I could not continue to do missions without the support from Bethel.
I will periodically update this blog so stay tuned!
