Costa Rica

So, my time in Costa Rica is coming to an end. This month has went by really fast. Our ministry this month was working with Glory Christian School (http://www.glorychristianschool.com/) and Zoe Church (http://zoefutureleaders.com/). Some of the team helped out with classes such as Kindergarten  and 1st and 2nd graders, gym, English, Study Hall. Others of us were working on the land. We cleaned up the grounds, chopped down tons of old banana trees, built bookshelves and organized the library.

We also did a lot of working with the church. We would go to parks and talk to the people. We made food and fed the people in the streets. Dramas with the kids. Games. School activities. Worship nights. We did a lot this month, I can’t even really remember it all, but everyday was packed. And though we are tired we all enjoyed every minute of ministry here.

For fun times, the team went zip-lining. We hiked up to a volcano. We walked around the capital San Jose. We had girls night were I had all my hair chopped off. Seriously. But who turns down a free haircut from a stylist who has been working in that job for 30 years?

We enjoyed getting to know the youth here as well as the missionaries that are currently living down here. It has been a great month of personal growth and discipleship.

The team is now heading into a few days of debrief. Where we have leaders from the States coming to see how our team is doing and make goals for the next half of the trip. It will also be a time of rest before we head to Panama.

So speaking of Panama. Our last country is Panama where we will be in Panama City working with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). We head there on a 15 hour bus ride on Sunday March 24. Prayers for safe and quick travels would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Here is the website for all the blogs for my team during this trip: http://centralamericaexpedition.adventures.org/

God Bless,

Jamie Ham
