We are called to be God’s hands in the world. At Bethel, we believe that our ministry needs to extend beyond our doors, and that we are each called to serve our neighbor, both locally and globally.
The Missions Team at Bethel coordinates projects that provide the members of our congregation the opportunity to serve our community in Aurora and beyond. We partner with both Aurora Interfaith Community Services and Aurora Warms the Night by providing food, hygiene products, and clothing to assist them in their ministries of helping our local neighbors in need. Other opportunities have included ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the holidays, worshiping with women in prison and serving meals to the homeless.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Matthew 25: 35-36
We would love to have you join the Missions Team or help with service projects, and we are interested in your ideas for new ways to serve God’s people in our neighborhood and beyond. Our team usually meets monthly over zoom. Please email our missions team at missions@bethelaurora.org or call the church office at 303-364-2245 and they can help connect you.
